A heat exchanger is a vessel through which you pass the swimming pool water. Inside the vessel there are a collection of small bore tubes connected together in a network, hot water from your swimming pool or house boiler is passed through these tubes and the heat is transferred to the swimming pool water as it flows through the heat exchanger. A necessary peice of equipment if you are planning on using your house boiler to heat your pool water.
