Gets rid of the green and murky water! Once a fortnight, or more frequently in hot weather, the pool water should be Shock treated by the addition of Granular Shock. Also apply this product if the pool has been neglected or algae growth has appeared on the floor or walls of the pool or there has been an exceptionally high bather load. Leave the pool filtration running continuously until problem has been resolved.

How to shock your pool or spa water:

1. Add 11g of Oasis Shock Chlorine Granules per 1,000 litres of pool or hot tub water.
2. Pre-dissolve the Shock in lukewarm water (Never use hot water!)
3. Adjust the pH to 7.2 (this will help your shock work more efficiently, get pH Minus Here if needed)
4. Slowly pour the dissolved solution all around the pool and over the pool return inlets.

If you have green pool water or walls you have an algae infestation you can use shock chlorine to kill algae - keep dosing until it turns white and cloudy as this means that the algae is dead.

What is Shock Chlorine? Shock Chlorine Granules are different to your regular stabilised chlorine granules. They do not contain a stabiliser (cyanuric acid), so you can superchlorinate your pool water by spiking the chlorine level up to a high level, and it will go back to a normal level much faster than regular chlorine. If you try to shock your water with normal chlorine granules, you'll not only find that it takes a very long time for the chlorine levels to drop back down to a normal level, but you'll also end up with too much stabiliser in your pool water and end up having to partially drain and replace it.
